From its very inception, the Johnny Miller Signature Golf Course at Brighton Crest was designed to rival the finest golf courses in the world. PGA Tour Winner and internationally renowned golf course designer Johnny Miller personally designed every facet of the astounding course, from concept to completion.

This 18-hole tournament arena takes full advantage of its spectacular Millerton Lake and Sierra foothill setting, offering the perfect challenge to spark the interest of any caliber player, while winding among virtual forests of oak trees and granite rock croppings. Brighton Crest has been hailed as one of the most spectacular courses in California. Opened in 1990, this award-winning golf course quickly grabbed the attention and respect of valley golfers with its top ten ranking by California Golf. The natural surrounding of this masterpiece has attracted such celebrities as San Francisco 49ers all-pros Steve Young and Jerry Rice, NBA superstar Michael Jordan, and country music stars John Michael Montgomery and Clay Walker.

Eric Peterson, Head Golf Professional

Born and raised in Arcata, California, Eric Peterson pursued the great game of golf at a young age. Eric took advantage of living on Baywood G.C.C. by fine-tuning his game daily, which he used to catapult himself into future success in both the amateur and professional ranks. While attending Fresno State University on a golf scholarship, Eric capped off his brilliant collegiate career with an NCAA All-American selection in 1983. After success as an amateur that included a victory at the Stanford Collegiate and Fresno City Amateur, Eric turned professional and spent one year on the Asian tour before returning to Fresno to work as an Assistant Golf Professional at Sunnyside C.C. Under the tutelage of Steve Menchinella, Eric received his P.G.A. Class 1-A membership while serving the club loyally for over 15 years. In 1996, Eric accepted the head professional position at Brighton Crest where he continues to excel as a general manager/golf professional. Eric's strong work ethic and commitment to success bodes well for the future success of the club.
